Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing is a specialized branch of nursing that focuses on the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, and reproductive health management. This field prepares nursing students to provide comprehensive care for mothers, newborns, and women with gynecological conditions through both theoretical knowledge and clinical practice. Students are trained to assist in antenatal care, labor and delivery procedures, postnatal care, family planning, and women’s health education. The program also emphasizes compassionate patient care, critical thinking, and the development of clinical skills required to support maternal and women’s healthcare services effectively.
